Airlia is a tall, muscled girl with curly black hair, large brown eyes and pale skin. She has well muscled legs, arms, shoulders, back and stomach, though she is still slender. She is in excellent physical shape, as evident by her physique, and doesn’t have any evident physical issues. She has rather long limbs, though centuries of practice have enabled her to move without tripping over herself. She has a rather heart-shaped face, a long slender neck, defined cheekbones, a bold sharp nose and pouty lips. She doesn’t place much effort into maintaining her appearance beyond keeping good hygiene, and exercising not to lose weight or stay thin, but to train and build muscle, however as a child of Aphrodite she is naturally unusually beautiful.

She doesn’t have piercings based on the fear of getting them caught in something, but she does have several tattoos: a yin and yang tattoo on the outside of her left upper-arm; a crescent moon tattoo on her right hipbone; a pentacle tattoo on the outside of her left thigh; a boar and cat sitting along side one another on the back of her left shoulderblade and an arrow piercing through a blossom on the right side of her neck. She also has several scars, one on the outside of her left ankle, one down the right side of her waist, one on the back of her left calf and one down the back of her left shoulderblade.

Clothing: Airlia normally wears loose clothing made of sturdy cloth and leather. She dislikes wearing skirts, though she does wear tunic style shirts, and prefers to keep her arms free. Her clothing is designed for maximum movement, and normally includes thin-soles leather boots or gladiator style sandals, a thin cotton tunic, and loose flowing pants, made out of a blend of cloths. She typically also wears a leather quiver, a thick leather belt where she can keep a knife and a variety of useful tools, a pouch strapped around her thigh where she keeps a hunting knife, thin cotton (fingerless) gloves, wrist guards and light leather armor over her elbows and knees.

When in a battle situation she adds on light leather armor over her torso and around the inside of her thighs, and over that sometimes, when in severe situations, adds a metal breast-plate. She rarely wears anything to guard her head, due to it reducing her visibility. She normally keeps her hair back in a tight high ponytail or bun and doesn’t wear jewelry or anything dangling.

Personality: Airlia lived her life before Artemis a naïve, innocent, quiet, sweet girl, who attempted to help others, whatever the cost. She didn’t seem to have a mean or cruel bone in her body, and rarely ever got angry with anyone. The phrase ‘holding a grudge’ was a mystery to her. However after her betrayal and discovery of her heritage at age 16, she banished that part of her to the farthest reaches of her subconscious.

Once she joined Artemis she was able to go from the permanently angry girl she had become, to a calm, level-headed person, with a large sense cynicism and a healthy dose of sarcasm. Long gone was the idealistic girl from before. Taking her place was someone who didn’t bow to others, a headstrong girl, stubborn as an ox and fiercely loyal to those that gained her trust. She protected her other hunters with her life and served lady Artemis with the reverence one has for a savior.

She has a weak spot for innocence, despising the maltreatment or harm of children, animals, nature, the mentally ill, etc. She however believes in the hunt, viewing it not as cruel, but as the continuing cycle of life. Her biggest goal is to one day die in service to her lady and her fellow hunters, and have her body feed the next creature. She is one of the only hunters who views men as not below, but equal to women, though she has a deep-rooted distrust of them. In a nutshell, she is a steady, passionate girl who isn’t afraid to put her life on the line for what she believes or those she loves.

Ability Summary: Airlia has the ability to create the illusion in someones mind that they are in love with her. It isn’t pure love so much, more an obsessive fixation. It could provide useful on the field of battle (enabling her to cause her opponents to fall in ‘love’ with her), but she never uses it due to her viewing it as dishonorly. It is also possible to break out of the illusion. She also has the unique ability to have her reflexes and abilities enhanced the more praise, flattery and attention she gets. It isn’t an enormous change, but a noticeable one, though again, she prefers not to depend on it or seek out the use of it.

She also has a strong sexual presence, in the form of both pheromones and a supernatural aura that can entice people to her, however she requested of the goddess Artemis that she makes it so her hunters aura completely suppressed her natural aura that came from her mother. So unless she requests otherwise, it is virtually undetectable. Also, if you are (for example) asexual, a gay male, not effected by that sort of thing, then the aura would have no effect on the person. She also has the average hunter abilities of enhanced strength, accuracy, speed, agility, endurance, etc. Unless she is slain in battle or gives up her maidenhood she will stay immortal forever.

Skill Specialty: Airlia is superb at the use of a bow an arrow, knife fighting, various martial arts styles, riding, running and animal tracking. She speaks several languages, including ancient ones like ancient Egyptian, sumerian and olde English, and can play a variety of musical instruments. She also enjoys dancing, singing, rollar derby and football (soccer).

Special Characteristics: Airlia emits a faint silver glow when in heated battle or when extremely excited. She also can emit almost a pinkish glow, similar to a sunset, in which her features become more defined and entrancing, which she gets from her mother and which can attract others. She has suppressed the latter ability.


~History/RP Sample~

History/Background Story: Airlia was born to Lord Aelfraed, son of Gullveig, and Aphrodite, the greek goddess of love. The result of a love affair, her fathers wife, the Lady Selene, she was nicknamed ‘The Cursed One’ and condemned by her. Growing up in the English court, she was treated as a future Ladyship and her marriage was arranged to Theseus, a distant nephew of the Byzantine Emperor and a son of Zeus. Airlia fell in love with him and looked forward eagerly to their marriage.

However, the day after her 16th birthday, and the day they were meant to be married, it was uncovered that he was part of a plot to kill Airlia’s family and to frame the king of cornwall instead, sparking a war that would make England ripe for conquest. Horrified, Airlia rushed to alert the king, who captured Theseus and brought him before the court. Theseus then tried to capture Airlia as a hostage, meaning to kill her. However at that moment Airlia’s abilities emerged, and bewildered and confused, he slashed down her waist instead of across her stomach.

Airlia survived, and her father told her of her heritage. Full of hatred and distrust, Airlia fled the court, journeying up through Scotland and around the land for months. She was approaching Cornwall when she met Artemis and her hunters. Artemis requested her to join, recognizing her desperation and rage, and Airlia did.

Thus began centuries of travel. Airlia became one of Artemis’s most trusted Lieutenants and Airlia turned her back on her mother and her powers. She has been traveling with Artemis for more then a millennia and a half, and has put her life on the line many times for her.

Roleplay Sample:

Airlia aimed her bow at the bear. It was sickly and with rabies. She was on her way to meet up with the hunters after she had been requested to go purge a city of a threat of snake-creatures that were attacking its citizens. She had found the bear wandering the woods, full of pain and spreading the sickness. She knew she had to put it out of its misery and stop it from infecting more creatures.

She murmured a small prayer, that the bear would find peace in its next life, before loosing the arrow. It flew with deadly accuracy and burrowed itself into the bear’s throat. She leapt from the tree branch she was perched on and onto the forest floor. She moved over to the bear quickly as it lay on the thick carpet of pine needles, choking. She unsheathed her knife and gave it a death blow. She hated to see an animal suffer and it would be cruel to leave it to choke to death on its own blood.

She quickly set about destroying the body. Nothing could feast on it because of the disease, so she dragged it further into the forest, looking for a place free of flora where she could burn it. She was sweating by the time she reached an area about 6 miles away, by a river. She took a rest, sitting on a rock for a minute or two, before beginning to build the fire. She gathered tinder and sticks, piling them by the river on the huge amounts of smooth stone.

She set the tinder on fire, watching as it began to consume the wood, before adding logs. She needed to wait for it to build up high enough, so she moved the bear over by the fire, and watched the river below, thrashing up against the rapids. She thought she caught sight of a naiad once, and she smiled to herself. The forest was immensely peaceful. She didn’t know how long she waited there, occasionally adding more logs, so it built into a huge bonfire.

Then she set about burning the bear’s body. She heaved it onto the fire, raising her arm to shield her face from the sparks and heat. The smell of burning fur made her bury her face in the crook of her elbow as to avoid the stench. It took a while for the bear to burn, Airlia occasionally murmured more prayers for the bear and for any animals nearby. She thought to do a sweep of the forest, looking for any other animals it had infected. She would be able to meet up with the hunters later on, but a week or so wouldn’t make a difference. After all, she had eternity.

Ok I do have to ask one thing. The enticing Aura and the ability to make people fall in love or to seem fall in love is kinda meta gaming since you would have to force them into actually feeling those emotions. I may have read it wrong so if you could correct me I would appreciate it. I know it says really never uses it but that Aura thing you really have no control over since it is in fact your aura.

She says that the hunter's aura completely suppressed her natural aura that came from Aphrodite. Furthermore, she doesn't force them to feel anything, but makes them have an illusion. Add in that spot that someone should be able to break free from that illusion. Also remove this:"So unless she requests otherwise," because it was suppressed and you won't be able to use it again.

Edit things like that and you'll be approved.

It was basically what Hayato says. The requests otherwise thing however, is because only with Artemis' help was she able to create a hunters aura strong enough to blot out her natural aura, so if she requests it her hunters aura can be weakened so her natural aura shows through. It's not a huge natural aura that makes people fall in love with her at the drop of a hat. Just something that makes them drawn to her slightly. Does that work?

It does note that personality does come into effect with other characters some will be able to walk by just fine without even giving her a second glance. Those kind of things scents looks can be overcome with a strong mental fortitude. But I understand now and like it so.
